NLGL on Personal Identity
Adams feels that the NLGL programs has:
- Allowed her the freedom to pursue her interests in study abroad and cultural interactions
- Given her the opportunity and support to form and promote her own ideas
- Taught her to find leadership opportunities in everything that she do, and to recognize herself as a leader
Future Work
In the future, Adams hopes to continue answering more compelling questions:
- What are the best ways to conduct a study abroad program?
- How can cultural experiences be measured quantitatively?
- How can schools universities acquire additional funding for study abroad programs?
- What cultural experiences are available within our own communities and the state of North Carolina?
- How can the K-12 students of North Carolina be exposed to new cultures while still following the curricula set forth by the state?
- In what way does global citizenry affect a 21st century K-12 student?
