Becky Adams
Becky Adams graduated from NC State University in 2013 with a degree in Middle Grades Education. After taking part in a five week study abroad student teaching experience in Pskov, Russia in the last semester of her undergraduate program, she was inspired to dive into a master's degree that upcoming fall.
Upon entrance to the New Literacies and Global Learning program at NC State, she made a commitment to take advantage of every available opportunity; since then, she has undertaken an independent study project in Pskov, and will complete a similar project in China during the fall of 2014.
In addition to a passion for study abroad programs, Becky has developed a special interest in international leadership, particularly in people of her generation and the current generation of grade school students. She believes that dialogue between young people is the best way to ensure peaceful international relations in the future.
Upon her graduation in December, Becky wishes to continue asking the "right questions" about study abroad programs and best practices for teaching 21st century students.
Becky lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, with her husband and three dogs.
